What can I accept childcare vouchers for?

It is essential that all childcare providers are registered with Sodexo. If you are not currently registered with us, you can do so on our website https://childcare.mysodexo.co.uk/register-provider. There are no charges to accept our vouchers and payment is made to your nominated bank account that you provide to us. Once submitted, your account will be up and running within 5 working days. We'll email you to let you know once this is ready!

In compliance with HMRC regulations, providers must be Ofsted (or equivalent) registered and located within the UK. Childcare providers include nurseries, nannies, childminders and even after-school clubs and activities - providing they are Ofsted (or equivalent) registered.

This can include:
  • Breakfast & Afterschool Clubs
  • Extra-curricular exam tutoring
  • Sport clubs e.g. SCL
  • Holiday clubs
  • Online Tutoring
  • Activity holidays – including Camp Beaumont, PGL and Supercamps
  • Boarding element of independent school fees (this can also include out-of-hours extra care, providing this is invoiced separately)

If in doubt, the vouchers can only really be used for non-school time care. Day trips during the school day would be excluded, but for overnights you can accept vouchers for the accommodation element. If the school trip is during the school holidays, then you can accept vouchers for the full amount.
Childcare vouchers can only be used for childcare and cannot be used in shops or for school meals.
